Would you/have you ever voted for the opposite party?

Given 2016 to the present, I will not consider voting for anyone in this GOP until the whole party gets reformed away from what it is now.

This x1,000,000. Republicans have lost me for life until they massively reform and get rid of the extremism. I would vote for old school republicans like Adam K, Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney. But they have all be mostly kicked out and silenced.

Seemed far more common before hyperpolarization in recent years, when you had democratic senators in indiana and the dakotas and republican senators in massachusetts.

I voted for Scott Brown in MA when he was senator there. Voted for John McCain in 2008. Would not vote for Brown again as he jumped on the MAGA train. Would be extremely likely to vote for Republicans in the future unless they stop this silly culture war stuff of outlawing drag shows and legislating health care. I never had much of an opinion on trans issues before, having not had much exposure, but the Republicans takin up their entire legislative session to pass laws about what bathroom someone can use and whether or not adults can get medical care has put me firmly against them.

Lots of things I don't love about many dem candidates as well but these things tip me away from the GOP.
