Bullshit.

Please name the worst American environmental catastrophe in your opinion.

What?
Everyone has amnesia these days?
I'm old enough to remember these.

Leaded gasoline.

Nice try! That wasn’t an accident, bro.

You still can’t name an environmental catastrophe worse than the massive fire of deadly chemicals.

You have no idea as to the extent of this disaster. That will come out after months. You mouthing off about it proves nothing.

Everyone knows the Ohio River / Mississippi dump into the Gulf of Mexico. Over FIVE MILLION people are dependent on this water to live.

The deadly cancers will take YEARS of suffering. Just look at 9/11. My family was there. EPA immediately told them the air was safe. Of course they apologized much later.

How is that dealt with after the fact? Do they have to dig it up later and cart it away?

OK found an article that looks very straightforward:

No paywall--everyone should read this.

They punctured the cars, let the chemicals flow into a ditch and burned that. But it doesn't account for everything.
This is an epic disaster. I can't imagine staying there with children and having no choices and no information. Liver cancer. You can't pay reparations for that.

Excellent article. Thank you!

EPA keeps saying air and water are normal. Then why are fish, birds, squirrels, chickens, inside pets dead? Whatever testing equipment they have chosen to use is obviously useless. Something is not right with the EPA.

Some dude said one of his foxes is dead and another is acting weird. This is worse than Love Canal!

Exactly. It’s the worst environmental catastrophe in American history. And our “Environmental Protection Agency” is still lying about the permanent damage. They claim to care about air quality. They say the air quality is fine. Except all the birds are dead.

Just imagine if all the birds suddenly dropped dead on Martha’s Vineyard. They’d instantly have all hands on deck from the very best across the country. This exposes how they care nothing about climate change, even though this will massively pollute most states East of the Mississippi.

Bunch of fish died. The stories of animals dying are mostly anecdotal. We don’t know whether this is all that bad yet. People are getting out too far over their skis calling this America’s Chernobyl and whatnot.

Liar. Go there and drink the water if you believe it’s not all that bad yet. Deep breathe the air. Play in the dirt. Enjoy coughing up your blood and raging skin rashes.

THis chemical flood is killing everything in its path all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

So much outrage for the government, but none for the company involved. That's what seems to set this disaster apart from others in the past.

Blackrock owns the company, didn’t seem like they considered any alternatives to the burn which I think it’s typically a last resort

You don't know the extent of the problem. Stop pretending that you do.
