School Calendar 2023-2024

I do not have the stomach to listen to this SB meeting. But, I've paid my dues and posted in real time about their discussion in the past. So, I'm asking someone who has the patience to listen and report back here if you can.

Thanks!

Ha I agree! Sorry and thanks - can someone please post here what is approved? I can't let the SB continue to live rent free in my head!

I can never listen to them again. I wasted days listening to the meetings during Covid.

I have a friend who works with the school board (not a member). She said they thought they could tie spring break to the end of the quarter, and were all excited about it, and then realized that Eid was going to be in the middle of that one week so decided to leave everything where it was and tie the end of quarter workdays to Eid instead.

That’s stupid because it’s entirely possible that Eid will change.

Hunh? They were going to shift spring break so it did not align with the other districts? That is literally the only true operational alignment issue that exists.

I really don't give an F_ about other districts. Sorry teachers!

Can anyone report in on how the meeting is going?

Well, FCPS cares, so you’re stuck.

I just tuned in and listened to the community input and that was so much worse than the school board. “Moms for Liberty.” F off.

Unfortunately not having it aligned with other districts at Easter created problems in the past since so many teachers live in Loudoun or PW and their SBs were aligned to Easter.

Maybe the bus drivers can drive the transphobes to a faraway location never to be seen again. 🙏
