As long as you perform the Satanic Ritual of abortion, of course.

What does that Ritual entail?

I think the ritual is.... an abortion.

That's kind of the point of ST. Instead of a lot of mumbo jumbo, blowing incense and candles at you, pretending magic words are real..... They are basically un-religion. So I imagine getting an abortion from them would be a very cold, medical experience. As it actually should be.

RELIGIOUS ABORTION RITUAL
The Satanic Temple's religious abortion ritual exempts TST members from enduring medically unnecessary and unscientific regulations when seeking to terminate their pregnancy. The ritual involves the recitation of two of our Tenets and a personal affirmation that is ceremoniously intertwined with the abortion. Because prerequisite procedures such as waiting periods, mandatory viewing of sonograms, and compulsory counseling contravene Satanists’ religious convictions, those who perform the religious abortion ritual are exempt from these requirements and can receive first-trimester abortions on demand in states that have enacted the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

The Satanic Temple proposed an accommodation in which Satanic women can obtain a doctor’s note indicating only that these medications are safe for them to use, and then receive medication directly from The Satanic Temple rather than a state-approved provider.

In an interview with me in September 2021, Kezhaya, The Satanic Temple’s lawyer, admitted this was experimental territory. Assuming a court approved this accommodation, it could legally make The Satanic Temple a pharmacy, in addition to a religious entity, because it would be distributing controlled medications.”

TST Health’s first telehealth clinic will provide medication for safe abortions through the mail for members and for those who wish to perform TST's Abortion Ritual. The goal of this first clinic is to allow our members to have access to safe and legal abortions, no matter where they live or what their financial situation may be.

The Satanic Temple says abortion is a ritual.

“Samuel Alito's Mom's Satanic Abortion Clinic is an online clinic that provides religious medication abortion care. The clinic provides abortion medication via mail to those in New Mexico who wish to perform The Satanic Temple's Religious Abortion Ritual.“

As I said, this is a publicity stunt to troll right-wing policies. It’s satire. It isn’t actual Devil worshipping. If you think it is, you are gullible.

They are raising funds off their abortion ritual.

TST Health's online clinic was launched to protect the bodily autonomy of our members. As part of our commitment to protecting our members' civil rights and ensuring that our religious rituals can be performed without government interference, the clinic represents one of the most important steps we have taken.

While abortion clinics are shutting down everywhere, TST is striking back. Please support TST health to ensure the clinic's success and to help expand operations to other states!

DONATIONS TO THE SATANIC TEMPLE WILL SUPPORT OPERATIONS, AND HELP PROTECT MEMBERS' REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
Your gift to The Satanic Temple Abortion Clinic Fundraiser will support TST's mission and help protect abortion access.

A Gift to TST Health Will Help Members By:
Providing telehealth abortion services to patients in New Mexico
Providing information and resources, when available, to those outside of New Mexico
Helping those who need assistance to travel to New Mexico when possible
Helping the operational success of the first TST Health abortion clinic
Supporting TST’s operations and efforts

Importantly: you must join the Satanic Temple and be a member to get the abortion medication and perform the Abortion Ritual.

That’s right: only members of the Satanic Temple get the meds. Are you ready to become a Satanist, ladies?

You forgot the wink, wink/nod, nod

So the Satanic Temple is using the IRS religious exemption fraudulently? They are committing fraud against the government?

Sure. Report them.

THE SATANIC TEMPLE DEMANDS FDA GRANT UNRESTRICTED ACCESS TO ABORTION DRUGS
Lawyers for TST sent a letter to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to request that TST be able to access abortifacients without being subjected to the agency’s regulations. Normally, access to Misoprostol (a first-trimester abortifacient) requires a prescription, and Mifepristone(the second drug in the medical abortion regimen) can only be obtained through an approved prescriber and can only be dispensed in accordance with specific guidelines. However, TST has requested that we can directly supply Satanists who wish to undergo an abortion in a religious context with these abortifacients.

The Satanic Temple is using religion but isn’t religious? And abortion to Satanists is a religious ritual, it’s just very crazy imo.

Do you donate to them? How much?

One million dollars!

Satanic Temple cannot currently be evaluated by our Impact & Results methodology because either (A) it is eligible, but we have not yet received data; (B) we have not yet developed an algorithm to estimate its programmatic impact; (C) its programs are not direct services; or (D) it is not heavily reliant on contributions from individual donors.

Well, Charity Navigator has no data on the Satanic Temple.

That’s all right. They’re good people doing the Lord’s work. I trust them.

So the Satanic Temple believes in The Lord and does His work? Where is that information? They don’t believe Satan exists, but use images/statues of Satan and the name of Satan. The use Rituals of Satan. Now you are saying they believe in the Lord, and do his work.

Maybe read the Book of Job sometime?

But, sweetie … you are missing the point. What I can’t tell is whether or not you are being deliberately obtuse or if you are genuinely flummoxed. If the latter, I’m sorry — the cognitive dissonance must be hard.

I’ve read Job multiple times, what does Job have to do with the Satanic Temple making women join the Satanic Temple and perform the Satanic Ritual of abortion to receive abortion medication?

Is it safe for a church/temple to mail out medication to women? Is the Satanic Temple running an abortion clinic via mail? What will women and girls do if they encounter health issues taking the medication?

It seems like it’s extremely risky and the fundraising off it is crass.

Did you look at their website because they address some of these questions.

Also, a church has no business running an abortion clinic via mail. THAT IS THE POINT.

You don't seem to capable of grasping irony and satire. Metaphor. I understand these are lofty concepts. Go back and read the thread from the beginning and then tell us if you still have these questions.

Good for them.

Eh, the sense of humor is not exactly mine, but still glad they are providing abortion services for people who need them.

My only concern is that abortion providers offer state of the art procedures from actual doctors with experience, to make it as safe as possible for women. I don't care what they call themselves.

How is joining the Satanic temple, receiving abortion medication via mail, and mumbo-jumboing Satanic Ritual words, have anything to do with actual doctors?

There are no doctors mentioned by the Satanic Temple, no health care professionals. Is the Satanic Temple providing “state of the art” procedures by mailing pills to Satanist women? No.

You are right. It would be terrible if we had to receive abortion care this way.

Just terrible. I wonder what we could do to prevent such a travesty.

Makes sense, since they're sacrificing children to Moloch.

It’s juvenile. This is a graphic from the site. This is part of the reason most people don’t take them seriously. Depicting a passed on Mrs. Alito wishing she could have had an abortion is weird and disrespectful.

It’s intended to be disrespectful.

What did Mrs. Alito do to deserve the disrespect? Exist?

It’s intended to be disrespectful to Samuel Alito, which is why his name is used and not hers. It’s the ultimate “your mom” joke.

They are using the image and likeness of a woman who has passed on in their “joke.” She has nothing to do with this, and why jokes are at all part of this issue speak to the mindset of The Satanic Temple.

She raised a man who is dead set on taking rights away from women, so spare me the respectability politics argument.

Sorry, no, that is not what is happening. Women are dying because of this man and he does not care.
