I like the tart sumos. Sumos are a little weird anyway. I guess they were created by some kind of cross-breeding or something?

Pretty much all of the varieties of citrus we eat are cross-bred.

Oranges are going extinct. Florida Orange juice industry is almost done.

Balducci's has had great Sumo's and Cara Cara's. The Mandarins from the farmer's market have also been good.

I bought a box of Sumo oranges from BJs that were delicious.

We bought 6 or 8 Sumos at Whole Foods last week - most of them have been moldy, so I couldn't tell you how they taste.

I feel like most oranges - navals, cara caras, mandarins, etc - are worse than they used to be - odds are 50/50 (or less!) that each orange turns out to be dry and tasteless.

I love the tart ones! Costco has some great ones.

I've been getting sumos at Wegmans and they are fine.

I can't believe how horrible navel oranges are. They used to be the go-to but now have thin skins that don't peel at all.
