Weird food combos you love?

I put mustard on my grilled cheeses. My family thinks this is horrendous, but it is really good!

Peanut butter and bacon on toast. I was always teased about this when I was a kid, so I felt vindicated when I saw it on a restaurant menu.

Pretzels and hard salami — so each bite has a bit of both.

I put mayo on corned beef sandwiches and once had a lengthy argument when a deli refused to do this.

I, too, make omelets and scrambled eggs with leftovers. Some of my faves are with: shrimp fried rice; pad woon sen; cabbage or spinach based stir fries; and pizza. Yes: pizza.

Ok the Coke and lemonade wins.

Dry roasted unsalted peanuts in my morning cereal. Try it!

No this is the winner

I caught DD dipping leftover dinner rolls into her cereal milk. Lucky Charms, so extra sugary! I almost gagged.

Coke and red wine. I know it’s something that high schoolers drink with cheap wine in Spain, but I genuinely enjoy it. It’s my go to drink in the summer, with lots of ice.

Pizza crusts dipped in ranch dressing.

This is normal and not at all weird!

Now, my weirdest combo is probably cream cheese, sriracha, and a sliced hard boiled egg on top of a bagel.

When was this day of no crunchy pb?! I love chips in any sandwich

I'm intrigued by your bagel combo - have you tried chili crisp instead of sriracha?

I'm old and grew up in a small-ish town. Crunchy was nowhere to be seen in the 50s and 60s. "Extra" Crunchy didn't come out til the mid-70s. Either that or my mom either couldn't afford or chose not to buy it. I made do.

Glad to hear there's another fan of chips "in" a sandwich.

I like pickles with different things.

Whole wheat bread, chunky peanut butter and sliced sweet pickles. In my eyes it isn't that far from pb and jelly.
Toasted cheese sandwich with cheddar cheese and bread and butter pickles.
Cold turkey sandwiches get dill pickles.
Chili with sweet pickle relish.

I had never heard of this until we moved to PA. They serve ranch dressing at the school cafeteria on pizza day. Limit one ranch cup per slice!
