I’ve seen much older children still wearing pull-ups at night. Not a big deal. |
OMG, take it off now! Mine was 3 when she stopped needing a pull up at night. I waited until she was dry for a week and then took it away. She's six now and has only had a pee accident once, and it was while she had the flu and was too tired to get out of bed. |
OP reporting back in: so far so good! One overnight accident that I didn't realize until the morning, and (most importantly for me) last night she woke me up around midnight to go to the bathroom rather than wetting the bed again. Yay! |
My DD wore one until she was almost 8. That's when she decided that she didn't want to wear one anymore. We never even tried before that. An overnight pullup is really not a big deal. |
My DS was a bed-wetter until 6 1/2. According to my MIL, my husband was the same. Even after we ditched the pullups, I still lined his bed with puppy pads and used waterproof sheets as a precaution. OP, I wouldn't ditch the pull-ups until your DD can go at least a week without an accident. She can't control bed-wetting, even if she really wants to or thinks she can. It's not a punishment, it's basic hygene. |
Just stick with a regular diaper for bedtime. Pull-ups don’t hold up as well and they cost twice as much. We tried using pull-ups for a while and then switched back to Pampers. |
We just reused the same pullup for a couple nights at a time, but our kid always had a bath right before bed so we figured it was pretty clean if he wasn't wetting it. I like this suggestion even better! |
Can you re-use the fully dry diapers? My son was very young when he started being dry at night (2). Basically he stopped peeing at night a few weeks after potty training during the day. We re-used the same diaper for 2-3 nights if completely clean. We did this for a month or so because we could not believe he was really done (our middle child wore a diaper at night until 6.5). |
very kid dependent. my oldest wanted to try no pullups at night a few months after his third birthday. my middle child around 3.5. my youngest has no interest at almost 4. he just wants to be in his pullups at night. we'll see how it goes. |
