Call a neurologist and get on a waitlist. Good neurologists with experience in migraines have waited 5-8 months for new patients. If you end up feeling you don’t need the appointment you can cancel. |

That is so interesting. My 18 year old son gets zero relief and awful side effects from triptans, but Nurtec works within an hour and completely gets rid of his migraine with no side effects. His neurologist tried him on it as a preventative every other day since he gets them 3-5 times a week and it did nothing to prevent his migraines at all. He can literally take a Nurtec at 8am and have a migraine starting by 8:15am and he’s screwed for the rest of the day because he can’t take another one until 2 days later…but if he waits until 8:15 when the migraine starts and takes a Nurtec, it gets rid of the migraine fully. It’s strange how individualized migraines and meds can be. |
