| Sibley has a high c section rate. I would never deliver there. |
This is because many women having C sections choose to go there. |
Same. Much preferred Sibley. |
I had unmedicated deliveries at both Sibley and GW. Sibley was so much better. |
| I wish I was delivering at Sibley to late to switch Dr now. |
This might be true at Sibley now since it’s owned by Hopkins. It’s defintiely true at Georgetown. |
Yes lots of rich, type A women want to plan things. Their doctors are happy not to be up all night. |
| Pregnant RN here. I have worked at both locations. It really depends what you want. If you want a vaginal delivery, I would go to GW. If you are open to a cesarean, Sibley is preferable as long as you are low risk. GW is a trauma center as well with NICU and trauma and IR available 24 hours a day. I wish I still lived in the area as I currently feel like I’m in a healthcare desert. |
Please stop. I had a bad vaginal birth for my first delivery at GW with many complications that were poorly handled and my doctor recommended a C section for my second delivery to avoid further damage and trauma. I chose Sibley for those reasons. He delivers at both hospitals and recommended Sibley for my birth. Stop acting like women who have C sections are prima Donnas. |
