I asked a specific question in my OP. You don't have to post if you don't want to answer it. |
No problem - thanks for not attacking me. I guess other's feel the need to do so, but I'm used to it. |
I’ll say it again. You’re insane. But you know that. |
I know that I am intelligent enough to understand the scope of SARS, having worked on other pandemics. But you have a need to talk to people like that, and it says a hella lot about you. |
Your point is that you don't like it when other people have ideas about you that are different from your ideas about you. This is, as you point out, not a good basis for other people to make decisions about what we do. That includes decisions about whether to post, doesn't it? Or do you think there is some carve-out for that? |
I keep forgetting about covid. I like the reminders on here (I'm not on other SM) especcially as we roll into the holidays and more people (again, the elderly) are getting sick.
For example a thread on work events brought up covid. Perfect excuse to stay backed off still even if we feel safer and forget. I see lots of kids masking at school (some every day) and all kids including mine are masking after they have been out sick (every kid has been out sick lately) as a precaution, even though it may not help much at that point! |
also, yes kids can eat outside. I know our school has outdoor seating still open. Kids are just grabbing coats. My kid eats outside because it's quieter! But it's nice that a kid can eat outside for any reason they want without having to explain to people. |
I never said they shouldn't post anything. Are you saying I can't have an opinion about what they post? |
OP ask the person doing this. This isn’t a thing for most. I did have a FB friend post a memory of her husband almost dying from it in 2020 but nothing else. |
Exactly. How low have we sunk when we politicize humans eating outside? It's bonkers. The same people calling the Covid cautious fat, unhealthy, pill addled, and lacking outdoor time are triggered by....kids eating outside. Great logic model. |
Hospitals being overrun make great media stories and create an amount of panic that gets people to keep turning into the news. I don't doubt that it is happening BUT what they leave out is that the hospitals in our area get overrun with individuals who are both seriously ill and really need hospital based care AND those without insurance because they can receive care, no payment needed upfront AND those with insurance who simply panic and believe they need hospital care bc the media has scared them. In this area, we are particularly effected by individuals with no insurance. It is not limited to the pandemic. This occurs all the time. |
Anyone who is judging kids for eating outside is dumb. But you don't actually know these are the "same people". Lumping everyone you disagree with into one person is not a great way to achieve civil discourse. |
They need to bully others into thinking and behaving like them to justify their lack of concern. |
Nope. See I’m commenting on an actual post. Which is what you should be doing to the ones that bother you. Instead you run to another site and start a complaint thread. Looks like I hit the nail on the head though that people are commenting on things you’re actually not secure about. |
Sounds to me like you are pushing made up rules about who can post what on DCUM because you are bothered by what I posted. Where do your insecurities come from? |
