I, unlike establishment Democrats, don't assume that everyone who doesn't agree with me must have a head injury. |
| Do you act like you hate Trump when you are with anti-Trump folks? Or do you try to defend him and not shy about showing your love? |
I'm with a lot of anti-Trump people since I live in MoCo. I just ask them what establishment Democrats have done for them. |
You didn’t answer the question. |
Nobody doubts that fools exist. |
| If Maryland had actually been a swing state, would you still have voted for Trump? |
| So, obviously, all the things Trump did or said during his campaign about women, minority, and disabled folks didn't bother you? |
In your mind, one politician endorsing another is "elites try to manufacture consent among the people?" OK, I guess. That happens every single election cycle, you know. |
Yup. Idiocy abounds. |
I certainly don't like the things he has said, but didn't really take them seriously. A lot of Black and Latinos voted for Trump, and being politically correct isn't the most important thing to most people. I kind of view Trump as like an insult comic, he's offensive and he knows he's offensive, whereas Democrats like Biden are more patronizing and have no clue how out of touch they sound when they say LatinX or compare people to breakfast tacos, unironically. If I lived in a swing state, I honestly don't know. I only thought of my voting in terms of being a Maryland voter. I probably would have abstained and let the chips fall where they may. |
And that's precisely why people are losing faith in US elections. It's not "rigged" in the way the "elections are stolen" people say, but if you don't believe that corporations, the mainstream media, and establishment politicians put their thumbs on the scale for candidates who uphold the status quo, I have a bridge to sell you. The mainstream media's hysteria over Trump was part of what led me to vote for him, as a way of giving them the middle finger. That wasn't going to make a difference in Maryland. Likewise, you can say the same for Elrich, from the opposite end of the political spectrum. The media, especially the Washington Post, is completely deranged and hysterical over Elrich the Stalinist business-killer, which made me take joy in voting for him even more. |
Do you realize that ironically, Trump is also a Stalinist business killer? |
