Reading groups

NP here. When do the teachers start pulling reading groups? I have a first grader and it sounds like she has a center where she can read to herself or to a friend. But it doesn’t sound like she is in a group with the teacher.

I thought reading groups were going away because it's not a part of the benchmark curriculum

Well now a bunch of stuff is being added to supplement benchmark because of how supbar it is, haha. I heard the dibels assessments will be used again for the younger grades and that will help determine reading groups.
