I’d love to know who this is. Westmoor has a $350k initiation fee. And Sankaty has about 500 members with priory given to legacies.

Op, your kids are a perfect age to start doing a summer beach home. Just need to put time and effort into the right location and club.

You have to play golf and tennis! And sail as well!

We spend the summer in Martha’s Vineyard. We love it. My kid does some camps, some free time, some extended family time. We also have a pool.

OP we have done this a few times by renting. The kids love it and we’d buy a house and go every summer if we could actually find something decent for sale.

As someone with older kids, I have seen some disasters when families over schedule and do not allow the kids to get bored. Now that these kids are junior high and older, they are incapable of taking initiative or planning or being creative. They were so scheduled when they were little that they never got to experience making their own plans, entertaining themselves or being bored. Let your kids have somewhat of an old fashioned summer. Put them outside with bubbles, bikes, chalk, etc.

Kids need downtime in the summer I think. As they grow, they will absolutely adore having a place at the beach! I’m super jealous.

Ah, I would do that in a minute pp, given that I had the funds, of course.

OP, what is the location where your DH wants to buy?
