Do you always clean up your kitchen before bed?

Yes. Every night, without fail. Through sickness, exhaustion, laziness we pull together and get the kitchen cleaned every night before bed. I love waking up to a clean kitchen every morning.

Always, and really before I leave the house too if possible (like after breakfast before dropping kids off at school etc). It is really important for me to wake up to a clean/tidy house and come back from wherever to a clean/tidy house. Same with making beds.

Do you have children or are they older now? I can’t imagine being able to deal with my own things this quickly. After a party, it’s usually right into managing bedtime (and I usually fall asleep in their beds because I am so tired). When we get home from vacation, they need a snack or dinner or something else until it’s time for bed again. My suitcase can wait until the next day when they have been delivered to school/daycare and I am working from home.

Op here - yes I have a 2, 5 and 7 year old. I know I am super anal retentive. But seeing suitcases and bags everywhere drives me insane.

I worry about bedbugs. So all suitcases and clothes remain in my garage in quarantine for 1 week after we get home.

Dishes, yes. Suitcases though can go weeks.

Have not made my bed in years. Studies say it is better to let it air...

The kitchen is always clean before bed. I usually cook and DH does the dishes immediately after dinner. After parties we both clean up, and we enjoy chatting about the evening while we wash and put the dishes away. We’ve done it so many times, we have a routine and are very efficient. We’ve never had issues with bugs in the kitchen, and I think it’s because we never leave food or dirty dishes out.

This is probably going to ruin your life, but bedbugs can live for several months without feeding.

Same. I'm just done at the end of the night and really unhappy about clean up. The next am I'm ready to tackle it
