Oh FO, Trumper!! |
DP. I voted for Biden, Clinton, and Obama. Never lived through inflation like this before, was screaming for the administration to do something back when were at 4% inflation in late summer 2021 and all they did was focus on giving to free cash handouts to 30% of the population (people with kids). We asked them. They said 'inflation is transitory'. Now we have Buttigieg on national television saying 'Well there's no lever in the Oval Office to get rid of high gas prices or inflations'. We know that dipshit, that's why we asked you to handle this in 2021. They did nothing. So YOU F OFF. |
| As a empty nester househlod with 2 adults, we spend more than $1000 a month. This includes household items and not just groceries. We eat out often as well. $1000 a month doesn’t seem unreasonable. |
I don’t believe you Biden ie Dems do not set inflation We have inflation just like every other country. You are a trump moron learn to cognitively read economics and move along troll By the way Democracy is worth it. Bec when trump Gains power again bec if you idiots not like we won’t have bread and milk lines. Dictators like to starve their subjects hell the man was Going to hang Pence you think he won’t bleed the country dry hahahaha |
| Family of 5, and we probably spend $400-$500 per week at the store, so $1000 a month for three sounds normal. |
We do not have inflation just like every other country, our inflation is in fact markedly HIGHER. https://www.frbsf.org/economic-research/publications/economic-letter/2022/march/why-is-us-inflation-higher-than-in-other-countries/ |
| We are a family of 6, living in NW DC, and our grocery budget is $1000/month. We eat out two times a week. |
factor in additional 300% of budget if you have teenage or 20 something boys! |
Regardless, the President is not individually responsible for inflation. The Dems can’t even pass the policies that they want to because they get blocked by Republicans. |
The president is in fact responsible for inflation if his policy initiatives are a major reason why our inflation is as high as it is. Not to mention EOs related to halting major gas production leading to higher prices for distribution of and consumption of goods. Look I don't care but getting on TV and saying 'There's nothing we can do' - not even 'Oops sorry' or 'Here's the plan, we're opening up leases on natural gas nationwide and XYZ'. He had all the smoke for everything else, but there's plenty Biden could do and won't. |
You clearly missed the report by the SF Fed that clearly showed that the trillion dollar stimulus, handed out by biden as soon as he got into office, made inflation worse. |
Ah, those were the days. -parent of two teen boy athletes. |
Well, I'm happy to pay a bit more for my bread to avoid what would have happened to people in this country without a stimulus. There are not easy days. |
|
The president is not solely responsible for inflation, but he is responsible in a big way. All that money he pumped into the economy through covid stimulus checks-- did you really think that would have no effect on the economy? All those unemployment checks? It lit inflation up with charcoal fluid and set it into an uncontrollable fire.
Canceling student loans would make this inflation hugely worse too. Hope he doesn't do it. |
Explain to me how they help global inflation? This is a global issue...Per the IMF: "This shows that even before the war in Ukraine disrupted global energy and food supplies, inflation projections had already been quite high as supply chains overstretched by restocking needs after the end of major Covid-19 lockdowns had already caused inflation to rise to levels not seen since the aftermath of the Great Recession. Because many developing nations are experiencing economic growth, inflation is generally higher on average in this group of countries" https://www.statista.com/chart/27480/projected-annual-inflation-by-country/#:~:text=The%20International%20Monetary%20Fund%20has,the%20course%20of%20this%20year. So what is the strategy? |
