Oh yes, he was totally texting this young woman because he was deeply interested in “mentoring” her. Come on now. He may not have cheated but he sure wasn’t texting her out of a sudden generous urge to help her career.

He sent one text. This is not cheating at all.

The news said inappropriate flirty texts. There is most likely more than this one message.

Because the news never ever spreads falsehoods and out and out lies. He said he sent one text; I have no reason to doubt him.

It seems like he is saying he wanted the choreographer they both knew to get a job on the show? It was inappropriate to contact the contestant. If as he says that was the only text where did the flirty text narrative originate because that text was inappropriate but not flirty.

Matt’s defense of himself comes off as very angry and fake. Bad move. His publicist should drop him.

He should have simply apologized for sending a text and taken responsibility.

She reposted his IG post, so seems like she believes him.

He is angry because of the way people are finding people guilty instead of assuming innocence. The piling on and faux outrage would drive anyone batty!

Why would he think asking for a contestant’s phone number is ok? And if he texted her, wouldn’t he already have her number?

I think it was a DM on social media.

These biiitches never change and they have no respect for women.

Does this little biitch even dance? WTF is he doing as a judge on this show? I thought he's on Glee for the singing. I never saw him do much dancing. He played the teacher anyways.

Also, he will pull this shit again guaranteed (see 1st comment above). His wife just had a baby in 2021. Asshole.

In the time it took you to type that you could have gone to Wiki and learned he's been on Broadway and yes, CAN dance.

I did go to Wiki that's how I knew he was married and also yes I knew he was on Broadway but surprise not everyone on Broadway is a trained dancer!!!

NP here.

He's a triple threat and acts, sings and dances. In Glee there several scenes where he and Harry Shum, Jr did dancing duets that were pretty incredible. One full number, the remake of the Donald O'Connor classic "Make 'Em Laugh" from "Singing in the Rain", was pretty amazing. But they had several quite good dance duets. If you search on Youtube for his name, you'll find just as many (or more) videos of him dancing as of him singing. He's about as well known for both.

From what I read, he sent his text at 12:30am...I mean, you're a 42 year old married guy, why are you texting a young woman you're "working" with at that time of night? And also he said he didn't know he couldn't communicate with the contestants, which again seems hard to believe...did you not read your contract? C'mon now. I give a lot of credit to the contestant because it must have been scary to go the producers with this info without knowing who they would believe/back.

So now they have to find a new judge. I'd probably go for Nigel because they already have two "younger" judges and they need someone that both the contestants and audience can trust after this fiasco. Plus he's already involved in the show so he would be available during those times.
