How hot/uncomfortable is Austin really in July?

Yeah, thanks, I did that already. Hard to tell how humidity "feels" though, was hoping for some personal anecdotes, which I got.

Anecdotes of how hot hot and humid feels? You live in DC so just imagine the worst heat of DC and then crank it up a few notches. It'll be miserable.

I don't see how hearing random people's anecdotes help you understand how humidity feels more than looking up the humidity but whatever.

This. I live in AZ and run outside even in the summer. You adjust to wake up earlier and do stuff when it's cooler. It's 102 right now and I have not spontaneously combusted yet.

NP, but I feel like in the time you spent Googling all that you could have taken 20 deep breaths to deal with whatever stress you aren't handling very well.

My sister lives in Austin and we visit in July sometimes because it's easier for me to go when kids are out of school. It'll be 100* from 8am to 8pm or longer, and I won't spend more than 15 minutes outside per day.

Barton Springs sounds wonderful on a blistering day, but have you been there lately? It's crowded, people everywhere blaring their music and screaming. Not a blissful cold steam experience.

I live in the New Braunfels area and we spend the summertime at swim team and in the Comal river, beautiful spring fed clear water river.

I am originally from VA and have lived all over. In the summer, I love the evenings. It’s warm and dry, so much better than DC.
