Yeah, warming up to Nathan Jr came too fast and it felt abrupt how late earned up to him and immediately Nathan Sr. became extra awkward and basically stepped out of the main picture. Which I guess may have been the point, that moms, even non biological moms, end up being the nurturer taking care of the kids, maybe? |
Just finished this season - not bad, but not great. As always, Val steals every scene she’s in. The funniest was in Season 3 (I think) when they went away and tripped on LSD. The haunted house was really funny, but not as good as the LSD episode.
I’m sorry, but Anne is so incredibly unlikeable. I know that’s how the character is written, but I’ve grown to really loathe her. Poor Lionel - she doesn’t deserve him. And Kate’s storyline with the two sick kids was just… so awful. I also get that it was to show her realizing how addicted to work she was, but those poor kids. Ugh. And finally, I find her mouth beyond distracting. It’s terrible looking. Yes, I said it. |
Is the cleaning products scandal based on a true story? |
seasons 6 was painful and boring - the ultra sound scene was absolutely disgusting.....the shock factor is old. Moms running around acting drunk in a park and tying peoples shoelaces....not all moms think this is a fun way to spend time together and besides they've repeated this so many times already. I feel mortified for the actors ......how can I ever get that wasted time back?? |
I thought the season was good. Just the scene with the tech was inappropriate. |
I like the season, but it wasn’t their best. I think season six was better than this one. That said, it’s nice to see some of the resolution and a little bit of change with the characters.
My favorites remain Lionel and Val. And I love the pairing of Juniper and Forrest — wish we had more of them in the final season. I actually like that Jenny’s character didn’t really change at all. Not everybody evolves as they age, and that tracks with real life. |
