In hopes of gaining some political favor - which is how the Dems work.

I appreciate the passion for preK politics. Hate when many 4 year old has to hear the word “plantation”!! The images that must jump to his mind.

Why are you talking about pre-K?

Because I believe that is the equivalent to “junior kindergarten”. Which is the grade of one of the Robinson’s sons.

No, their sons are 10 and 12. The disagreement was about the 5th grade curriculum.

The article OP used to bring this to light states that the entry year was 1st grade and junior kindergarten. The robinsons started whining during the pandemic and Now - the kids are older now of course.

Yes, they had been at the school since 2016. What they were studying then is not what’s at issue.

USM is the Sidwell Friends of Milwaukee, so they are used to catering to a lot of wealthy, demanding, priviledged parents. A parent has to do a lot to get their kids booted - especially midway through the year. My guess is that Robinson was really laying into a USM teacher.

Lol what?

Dp- Sidwell is an elite private school outside of DC. The school in the article is similar.

We know how the Robinson family rolls; when others go low they go high.

Let’s show this family the support they deserve.

Doesn't seem so wild to me. What makes it wild to you?

Frankly, the parents seem like a$$hats.

Why?

It’s very clear that this is a political response to the huge backlash the publics have received about what parents have discovered by watching their kids’ online lessons, and how school boards have behaved. The publics have lost a lot of kids to privates as a result. The Robinson are doing this as a warning to privates to tread lightly.

Huh. Can you explain a little more. Our private school basically told us love it or leave it, the enrollment is through the roof and we are replaceable.

Yeah right. This is just a slogan. I’m sure Michelle has “gone low” plenty of times.

The Obama family continues to be our compass.

Thank you to the Robinson’s.

I don't understand why posters are criticizing the lawsuit. It seems totally legitimate and grounded. I wouldn't want such an Underground Railroad exercise in any school! It's just as bad as the slave auctions some southern school was accused of having!

These schools are trying to teach black history. Regardless of how it is taught someone will object.

I think suing every time you don't like a lesson plan is not productive.

They are not suing over a lesson plan. They are suing because the head of the school unceremoniously kicked out their children via email in response to the parents asking to changing some racially-inappropriate learning materials.

The head of the school sounds like a thin-skinned lunatic who exposed his institution to liability. I bet this isn't his first rodeo with lawsuits.

You think he sounds thin skinned for asking this former Presidents nephews to leave his school?

Oh please. Do you know them personally or anything other than what you read and see on TV?
