Repeating the same lie over and over is small potatoes?

Biden has been a prolific liar throughout his career, it’s just getting more attention now. Funny how people just shrug off the fact that he’s fundamentally dishonest.

The thing is that Trump taught us all that it’s entirely irrelevant. The Democrats have learned from the master liar, Trump. So who cares. Nothing Biden lies about approaches Trump lies.

Isn’t this whataboutism?

Yes, it absolutely is. Democrats are masters of whataboutism.

No, it’s just pointing out that Trumpsters have no leg to stand on.

OK, but isn't it hypocritical for anti-Trumpers to give Biden a pass on his conduct when they called out each time Trump did something wrong?
Not in this case.

Wrong. Of course it's hypocritical. In ANY case. The PP is correct - you spent the past FOUR years dissecting with utter outrage every word out of Trump's mouth, even when he merely misspoke. Can't have it both ways. Biden lies and/or simply can't remember anymore. It will be called out every.single.time.

Anonymous wrote:In the scheme of things, this lie by Biden isn't terribly consequential. It is like Trump lying about the size of the crowds at his inauguration.

But, Biden has lied about very consequential things.

"Our troops will not withdraw from Afghanistan until all Americans are evacuated." And, for the record.... there are STILL Americans (and allies) stuck in Afghanistan.
"Sanctions weren't intended to stop anything from happening." Days before this comment, Psaki said that "Sanctions are intended to have a deterrent effect."
"Inflation is transitory." Sure. This, despite reputable economists saying otherwise. We see how that turned out.

There are many others. And, he has been a known liar for years. He had to drop out of his first run for president in 1987 because he plagiarized a speech and lied about his law school record.
And, he also lied about his first wife being killed by a drunk driver. The truck driver was NOT drunk and according to witness and evidence, it was his wife that pulled into the truck driver's right of way.

Anyone who believed Joe would be a "truth-teller" is ignorant of his past.

Exactly this. He is constantly spinning his stupid yarns which often turn into outright fabrications - or lies. The one about the truck driver was particularly egregious and ruined the man's life.

Just what I want in a president - a crazy grandpa.

Libs are defeated and desperate. They have nothing.

Yes. The minute a thread is started about Biden's latest gaffe/lie, that is the immediate response. So pathetic, immature, and telling.

This is like saying "It's a million miles away." It was figurative, not literal.

Interesting. How many figurative remarks did Trump make that were then pounced on, twisted, and taken completely literally in order to rage against him? Do you even hear yourself? The hypocrisy is just astounding. The fact is, Biden has told this stupid story many times - and every time has been called out for it. Including by the WaPo, as previously stated. Just acknowledge it. Otherwise, it's you who is stupid.

A president telling lies either matters or it doesn't. Pick a side that isn't tied to which president is talking.

Personally, I think the reasoning that Trump did something so therefore we can't call out that thing in this administration is wrongheaded and dangerous.

You gave Trump a pass but you chose to pick on Biden. You have no credibility.

DP. How would you know who "gave Trump a pass" and who didn't? Biden is lying. Quit your whataboutism and stay on topic.

I don’t care. Biden can say whatever he wants.

You elected one last time. Why complain now?

The people complaining about Biden said nothing when Trump lied tens of thousands of times including inciting a mob to storm the Capitol, so I can’t imagine them caring about this.

Right, and the people who don’t care about Biden’s latest complained loudly about every time Trump lied or misspoke. The hypocrisy goes both ways. It is exhausting and unproductive.

Lying about an insurrection on our democracy=misspeaking about distance traveled.
Got it.

I didn’t say that. There were many others instances in the four years prior to the insurrection in which Trump said things that were either outright lies or misspeaking, starting with the crowd size at his inauguration. And each of them generated huge outcry.

Did Biden demand a Park Service investigation into his Xi mileage claim?

No. What is your point? Do you dispute that there was public outcry over each of Trump's lies, both significant and insignificant?

Trump lied about EVERYTHING. Big and small, consequential and in inconsequential.
And you and your ilk did not care. So the same applies here.

Exactly. Trump lied about literally everything.

Assume that is true. Based on that Biden can lie too and it’s ok?
