I used to think that. But, it's about how it is cooked (real fire vs not), the type of meat, how long they cook the meat. If they are cooked well, no sauce is needed. But the sauces are great.
Also, the BBQ from other countries are different. |

You’re partially right. The meats are on the cheaper side, the art for good bbq is real slow cooking that breaks down the meat and imparts a good smoke flavor. Filet isn’t a great cut of steak. Very little flavor. I’m |

I can taste the fake smoke and it tastes chemical. I grew up with NC bbq which is smoked and not as fatty as what I've found in this area. The bbq in VA seems to be made from the leftover fat pieces. |
