Kaiser Permanente for insurance?

We like having a single reference point and it is so much less stressful for coordination (we had carefirst before). Can't recommend them enough. I can only see choosing a concierge service over them.

Yes I gave birth twice with Kaiser in the last two years, fantastic experience. My OB was/is wonderful. My OB at the hospital (you get a Kaiser ob but it won’t be the one you see in the office usually) for my first was truly wonderful. The one for my second labor didn’t have as good of bedside manner, but delivered my son safely. Both my babies needed NICU stays, great care and Kaiser docs and case managers would come check in on us during the stay. After my second son’s few day stay I got a call from a case manager just saying - how can I help you? Do you have everything you need? All appointments? enough food for you and baby? Etc etc. For the most part, Kaiser really knows what they are doing. Nothing is perfect but in our choices in the US, I would say they get closer than most.

But yes I agree with pp I don’t know why they don’t just up the amount of staff they have for mental health, since I work in that arena I would say part of it may just be difficultly with hiring is one piece of the puzzle (there just aren’t enough therapists for the need right now)

Anyone else able to share your experience with Kaiser in Montgomery County for mental health needs? A PP said it takes months to get in to see a psychiatrist.
