We use one of those scrubby puff things. Rub the bar into that to get a good lather, then scrub with it. |
Washcloth with bar soap. Hands cannot exfoliate. |
for those that use body wash/gel, do you find that you go through it faster = spend more than if you bought bar soap and simply lathered up a wash cloth? I can't get past the feeling that its just a big marketing scheme to get people to use something that they go through more quickly and therefore spend more on |
It gets gross sitting there, not from being used. |
DH. I use bar soap, including on my butt. I’m pretty sure this is how my parents bathed us, because I remember thinking it weird that my grandma’s house had “wash cloths.” |
I lather bar soap on my hands and use that. I don’t like the feel of wash cloths or loofahs and I don’t actually like any body washes. I love my cetaphil moisturizing bar soap. I put it on little soap trays (those are easy to wash in the shower) and it stays decently not gunky.
Guests get a new bar, and all hand washing is done with pump soap dispensers. |
Agree, I hate the way bar soap makes my skin feel. |
I’ll add that I’m a woman. My husband uses a wash cloth. I don’t really know what my kids do, but the bar soaps do steadily disappear so that’s a good sign. |
Each person has their own bar of soap. I put it directly on my body. |
Op here. I would think that the full body lather-ers would, no? In the same way I would use the washcloth, wouldn’t they be using the bar? |
I reverted to bar soap because of all the plastic used for liquid soap. Can’t stomach throwing away so much plastic. |
I prefer bottled body wash/cleanser but when I do use a bar, I just lather 🧼 it w/warm water on a washcloth then return it to its dish.
And I NEVER share it w/anyone. |
Same. I would never rub it on my body. |
Me. It feels good. Massages the body. |
Lifetime bar soap user here and thanks for asking: Dove original.
Lather in hands. Sometimes I will use a washcloth “pre-sudsed” with soap as an exfoliant or for shaving my legs. |
