Are they the Opus Dei crazies?

Yes. But I believe the school is outside of the beltway. I’m almost positive the school is St. Marys.

I hope so. Won’t be long before all the other diocesan schools must follow!!!!!

Maybe it's that school (Trinity?) associated with the cult that Amy Coney Barrett belongs to.

If St. Mary’s is in any way mask optional, that’s news to me and my middle schooler, who I just asked. He looked me at like I was crazy.

I am sure our private will still require masks.

Which school?

I expect the fundy Christian and Islamic schools may drop. But the non-fundy religious schools and independents won’t be dropping the mask requirements anytime soon.

You mean no quality or desirable schools. The loonies have always been out there.

Exactly.

Or Immanuel Christian where Karen Pence worked.

Parochial school?
Independent?

Which state?

VA

VA had an iNdola mask mandates for K-12 schools. Your school was just breaking the law?

Yup, and none of the hundreds of families at the school reported it either. Why - because they were happy about it. Thank goodness we made it an entire semester. Now, with Youngkin, it’s a non-issue.

I don’t believe that it’s not a right wing school.

Anytime they are happy about Youngkin

OP, what would be the scientific explanation for a maskless school with “no COVID for DC or any of his classmates“ when COVID is running rampant everywhere else inside the Beltway? Is the school surrounded by some magical bubble that shields it from upper respiratory viruses?

Congressional?

I am fine with masks but they really are not as helpful as you want to believe for little kids. I think if you want your child in them then fine and also fine if you do not. I care more about things that matter like good ventilation and spacing and smaller classes.

I wish you would so we can make sure no one I know applies there

No way, not Congressional. Kids are definitely still masked there.

Not sure if it’s OP’s school but ILS in Alexandria has not been masking this year (plenty of maskless photos on their social media pages).

Governor's Order now says schools have to provide an opt out option for parents.
