They discontinue things chiefly due to poor sales, and making room for new products that they think would sell better. Not in our control, sorry

That would be too much personal identifying info. And TJs HR is known for firing employees that publicly say bad things about the company.

Like lots of places, they (previously) allowed employees to not wear masks if they were fully vaccinated. But as of late December, ALL employees nationwide are now required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status. Unfortunately because TJs is a business, they don't want to mandate the same for customers, because they calculated that they want the business of maskless customers.

You get your training from other employees/crew, so yes. The pros give you their tips and the wisdom passes on

When I was 14 I worked as a cashier at a supermarket in NY, and learned to bag groceries. Trader Joe's employees totally suck at packing bags. I let them do whatever they want, then I move away and fix it all so the eggs are NOT under jars of sauce, so the bag of romaine is not folded in half, so the container of berries is not on the bottom, etc.

Can we start a petition for year round availability of peppermint JoJos? So sad I missed them this year!

It just doesn't have preservatives in it. If you freeze it, it'll be totally fine.

Probably same thing with milk.

Anonymous wrote:I do my main grocery shopping at other stores but go to TJs to stock up on specific TJ brand things. So my cart will be like 10 jars of eggplant dip, 5 each of the same frozen 3 indian meals, 6 jars of hot and sweet jalepenos, and 8 things of cold brew. I always feel weird at check out, like the cashier thinks I'm insane. Would you judge me for that cart or is it relatively normal?

Mine is all cheese, gyoza and wine. You're fine

Since Dec 26th? Indoors? They are supposed to all wear masks.

Even though I wore one before the mandate reinstated, I urge you to have compassion. You may not realize it, but working TJ is VERY physical. Unless you’ve bagged gallons of milk for 2 hours straight, try not to judge the maskless. It’s hard being so active for hours with a mask. I burn 700-900 active calories during an 8 hour shift, and I weigh like 125lbs.

Why is your selection of produce inconsistent and often of poorer quality than the competition? Honestly, this is the biggest reason why I don't shop at TJ more often.

What's your favorite thing about working at TJs?

Also, can you tell me what the bell system is? Like 2 rings means what?
