Kay names -- please no hate!

Kayla. It's a known name. It was #13 in 2000 and at #217 for 2020 in Social Security database.

No one can accuse you of "low class" or "make-up" name.

It's a good name and meets your criteria.

My middle name is Kay (a family name) and I passed it down to my daughter so it’s her middle name as well. I suggest making it a middle name!

My relative was just Kay. Not a nn.

Kaye is a nice solid name. I know two and they are wonderful people.

But Anne of Green Gables specifically said Katherine with a K is much better than Catherine. K names are good!

I'm not sure naming a child after a famous fictional adulterer is a great idea.

I'd go with Kayla if Kay absolutely has to be part of the name and Kathryn if that's not a necessity. It still has the letters in it.

I know some people think K names are lower class, so help me out DCUM, how can I honor my Kay and stay classy!

Kaylee
Kaylynn/Kaylyn
Kayla
McKayla

I could do two names . . . like Anna Kay or Emma Kay or Mary Kay but they seem old fashioned.

Thoughts?

Too many ys. How about Katherine, Katrina, Kristina, Kylie, Kendall, Kennedy

Got a good laugh out of this comment although I assume you're serious. Would get a smirk out of all the adults she comes across. She will always be the only Karen in the class. Totally worth it.
