Dad from Boston said cold cuts and it annoys my mom so he uses the phrase as much as possible for maximum annoyance |

The NE says cold cuts. DC is arguably not the NE but places north of here will use it. "Lunch meats" sounds Midwestern and/or Southern to me but I am open to correction. |
