It really is RW and I say this as a Bill Maher fan. But doesn’t that prove it? I’m a lib but generally like Bill Maher. Most of us are not in line w/ this fake BS ‘woke’ line you guys are obsessed w. It’s such BS. Most of us just dont think children should starve or people should die when fairly routine medical intervention could save their life. WE are willing to redistribute income a bit to prevent those outcomes. We don’t give much an F abt bathrooms - just wish everyone could give others basic respect.

Republicans are firmly and profoundly against giving basic dignity and respect to other people. That’s the difference. This woke sh!t is a RW talking point.

Those carrying the torch for your party only know how to play identify politics, and more and more people are tired of it. However, the liberal extremists are doubling down on this messaging for some reason and are going to get slaughtered next year at the voting booth.

Stop with the BS identity politics talking points. Republicans are the ultimate gaslighters. Since Reagan, who announced his candidacy in Philadelphia, MS, Republicans have based all elections on identity politics. What was "Mexicans are rapists"? What was Willie Horton again?

So stop with the BS.

Yep. The republicans only know identity politics and culture wars. It’s really sad that there are so many low information/uneducated voters susceptible to this untruthful manipulation.

His best line..."It's like trying to get laid by saying...hey...your ugly...you want to dance..."

This is exactly right. Keep yelling at everyone you may slightly disagree with. Belittling everyone in the process. Blame everyone else for everything that sucks in your life and finally...fight harder for tiny segments of people than large swaths of the lower class...now that is a strategy...

You’re right. Liberals should double down on identity politics. American voter, particular independents, obviously are enamored with every and all things to be first be filtered and qualified by identity. For example, voters really like when a lecture (scolding session), on how stupid they are for believing a certain policy position is to begin with the scolder presenting their credentials like this: “As a marginalized, person who is 1/5th Persian, and is polysexual, polyamourous, but also identifies as a a penguin, you should know that your racist, sexist stance on taxes is unacceptable and bigoted.”

We need to ensure that no matter the topic it’s qualified by the scolders identity so we can gauge their level of victimhood, so as to see what sort of power they hold over the idiotic unwashed masses who just simply don’t know any better than to be stupid idiots.

The bottom line is that voters love hostile moral absolutism. Keep it up!

As long as extremist liberals insist on purity tests, there's little to fear. Democrats have had a majority and the presidency over the past year, and little has been done. Well, hopefully they get their tax cut for the rich through.

If I believed it was worthy of a serious consideration I might.

This is absolutely one of the silliest and least accurate posts I’ve read on here in a while.

If you don’t follow the news, see the moral absolutism on the left (and the right), then yes it would appear silly to you. I mean it’s not like Barack Obama warned the left about purity tests or anything.

No need to wait for a reply. Because it's not a moderate rep, let a lone a rep. Just an internet poster upset that there are Democrats who think the woke parade has gone too far and off message.

Yeah, he's *so* in tune with real Americans. Arrogant sanctimonious painfully unfunny hack.

But what actually IS funny is that if he had lectured Republicans in this manner, you'd be cheering and lauding him. Now THAT's funny!

DCUM Democrats seem to live and breathe Twitter. It's really quite something to see them regurgitate rando left-wing Twitterers as if their opinions are gospel.

I've watched it twice and still can't believe how good this was. He nailed it.
