| How can we see this on naviance for our public hs |
+1 where do you see how many people have sent transcripts from your public high school on Naviance? |
|
Certain people will ALWAYS want to freak out and moan about how it's impossible to get into college, it's all a crap shoot, etc. The same posts go up here every single year.
Do you really hear about anyone who gets completely shut out of higher education if they've wanted it? Someone even posts a "still open" list in the summer because there are so many colleges that have seats available. |
Everyone student I know is solely doing EA or ED, even for safeties. Judging by the email from my DC’s college counselor, that seems to be the norm. My DC may do one RD app, but that’s for a school that doesn’t have EA. Some of those who don’t get in EA or ED may be doing more RDs, but that’s about it, as far as I can tell. |
It may depend on how your school's Naviance is set up (apparently, different school systems have different Naviance "features") but on ours above the scatterplot is a set of bar graphs representing the total number of applicants from the school by year (there are also values for # of acceptances but those are less reliable because they are self reported and not reported at all if the total number of applicants is small). From what we're told, the total number of applicants for 2022 is based on the list of 'schools I'm applying to" not applications actually submitted. |
Well, except W&M is a lot smaller than both of those schools. But, yes, good luck on the W&M app--my kid loves it there! |
+100 where can we see this information? the only info available is from 2021. |
|
when I select scattergrams it gives a list of all colleges and a number next to that, are those the number of applications from last year?
|
Seems like some high schools might have a setting that prevents the current year from displaying. |
