Where to buy a fake engagement ring and wedding band set in person?

The combination of hand washing, hand sanitizer, paint, glue etc is probably not great for it. It’s a pretty conservative religious school so I would still like to look like a nice respectable married mom.

That's dumb. My wedding rings haven't fit since I had my second child and I haven't gotten around to resizing them, I've just gone ringless. No one has judged me, I doubt very many people have actually noticed. Do you actually LOOK for wedding rings on people's fingers? That's so weird.

I got some at Macy’s for when I used to have to do business in the MIddle East. It was better that they thought you had a “bad” husband who “let” his wife travel, than no husband because that meant you were basically a prostitute. Also the answer to the question of whether I had children is “I have not been so blessed.”

You don't need a CZ "diamond" - a plain sterling band will signal that you're married!

We haven't worn ours in years.

I never wear a ring and I’m a respectable married mom.

Get thee to the mall. Macys and JC Penney have exactly what you're looking for.

Why do people wear fake rings when travelling? Is it in case you lose them? I would think that if you are worried about making yourself a target of theft/pickpocketing, a fake ring might not help. Better to wear something simple or nothing at all.

What you are describing isn't a "fake" ring. Its a real ring, and many people buy them to celebrate their marriages. You are looking for something inexpensive, or maybe you could say you are looking for a ring with a fake diamond. It just strikes me as really disrespectful of people who can't afford an expensive diamonds to insinuate that the ring they'll buy at Macy's or Walmart or whatever for the person they love isn't real.

Anyway...I have a few rings I wear as wedding rings. One is the diamond set my DH gave me as an engagement ring. I also have a silicone ring I wear when my finger swells in the heat outdoors hiking etc, and then a plain stainless steel ring (really!). I actually kind of like that one best of them all. It cost $10, but is tough as heck, will last through anything, and still shines. Like my now 20-year marriage, I hope!

Hmm I feel like I am nice and respectable but I am in a committed partnership but not legally married to the father of my child. Maybe people ahve been judging me this whole time?! OMGGGG

+1. That makes two of us. Apparently the world is out to get us degenerate folks! Yikes!

I just “upgraded” my $10 band to a $300 ring with a tiny diamond chip. The new one I found on Etsy. I love it. It is my every day ring.

My “real” ring is a family heirloom from DH’s and worth more than our car. It is beautiful and I love it, but I am mostly not comfortable wearing it.

I will say though I think all of this is a moot point. We don’t wear rings and have different last names and people reference my “husband” to me quite often. I think if you’re a couple that is clearly together and has kids people just assume you are married. All this trying to find a stunt ring seems pretty pointless.
