A good number of people on this board would defend this no matter how bad the video was.

Yes. The white privileged teacher should be fired and shamed!

+1. Life was better when we only handed out consequences instead of bearing them.

I feel like Americans don’t understand or respect the pain First Nations people have experienced. I’m from Canada and we have our own horrible and embarrassing history with the treatment of FNP but there is more awareness. This is just so wrong. I don’t understand how Americans don’t get it.

I'm from the west, and I don't pay any attention to football. When I moved to NoVa & everyone was talking about the Redskins, I was shocked! It's like calling a team the N#!#?ers, or the Wyte Tr@$h.

I said so.

People answered, "But there aren't any Indians anymore."

Totally inappropriate and weird leaving aside the racism, and it makes me wonder about her teaching in general and what other crazy, narcissistic stuff she does BUT every kid in that class and all the ones who watched it on twitter will now remember Secant, Cosine, Tangent.

Would it protect her from drug testing? Because it seems warranted here.

I honestly wondered about this.

Teacher here. The kids in this room are so deeply uncomfortable. A good teacher would never, ever ignore body language like this.

The lack of judgment shown here really makes me question her mental stability. It’s not normal behavior. If you watch the whole video, it’s just impossible to defend.

teacher puts feathers on her head and acts like a Native American (?) to teach "sohcahtoa." It's caused quite the uproar on Twitter.

What happened to the link?

Two comments:

1. SOHCAHTOA is really easy to remember without doing a racist dance and acting like you are tripping on acid.
2. If every kid remembers secant, cosine, tangent then she did a terrible job because those aren’t the trig functions sohcahtoa is referring to.
