Ahem! It's now called National Landing, not Crystal City. ![]() |
My aunt has lived in Crystal Towers for 20 years in the N tower. Be sure to keep on top of the rent hikes. Her unit has never been renovated, so it looks very dated and the air vents look so scary. The lobby has been redone.
I agree about 23rd street, pretty nasty. The underground area is not a place I would want to walk around alone. The Marriott is ok. Be aware of safety when heading to the Metro stop. There are some families, mostly grad students. |
OP here, thank you! |
If you're going to do an apartment live in DC proper, plenty of solid elementary schools. You'll find more families in apartments. If you are looking at houses in Crystal city, then it's fine because it is more neighborhood like. Crystal city apartments are concrete jungles for singles to live without roommate but be super close to metro and the city. |
Loved it pre-kid. But it’s a lot of singles, young couples. There were quite a few keg party Tuesday’s from the just graduated crowd.
I would think with a family you would want to live elsewhere in Arlington. |
Not for families.
Despite being full of single people it has no identity or personality. |
Just saw this thread. I live in Crystal Towers now, have for around 10 years and have been happy with it. It has changed owners a few times but I haven't had a problem with any of them. There's almost no airplane noise like another poster mentioned. A number of kids are in the building, and I think there's plenty of stuff very walkable to do with kids from here. |
