Work out, get a lesson in makeup application from a makeup stylist (not just someone who works at the mall), get someone to help you buy clothes that are flattering to your skin tone, go to a really great hairstylist and maybe get highlights or something to help your appearance. Keep hair shoulder length, or longer depending on face shape. Many women aren’t attractive enough to pull of short hair.
Have someone else take your photos for online dating, selfie’s don’t ever make one look their best. Get your teeth fixed and whitened, and smile!

OP I've seen more woman that could benefit from minor plastic surgery. One I remember needed a nose job very badly.

I think most woman could be attractive with the above, diet, clothes, hair, etc. Be honest with yourself on how you could improve your appearance.

Guy here. There are all kinds of guys out there who like all kinds of things. I see lots of non-conventionally attractive people who are happily married.

If you want to widen your dating pool, hire a personal trainer/nutritionist and get into you best shape - fit, not skinny. You’ll probably learn a lot along the way and gain tons of confidence.

Agree with advice to get in shape and maybe dye your hair blonde or do highlights if appropriate. Guys pay a lot of attention to these two things.

And, wear a "no makeup" makeup look. Guys also love thinking women aren't wearing makeup.

About the blonde dye-it WILL increase the # of men interested. The quality will DECREASE as many Southern women who dye their hair "ACT" dumb so as not to be a threat to a dumb guy's ego. Be prepared for shallow, insecure types should you go this route.
