Then you will get in. |
Not true at all. Parent of white kid with all As and high MAP scores (99th percentile math). My kid was originally WL. |
Bumping to ask for updated info. Just admitted so we were unable to attend the open house in February and are pretty clueless. Do to field trips interfere with playing sports or extracurricular activities? When do the buses run? |
I know a Desi that got in. I'm sure you do too |
Wish I had this option growing up, it sounds like heaven. For bright but balanced and nature-loving, openminded kids. Am happy it weeds out any Buffy or pressure cooker types. Hope my kid gets in. |
Parent of Global senior here. DS has played sports all four years with no issues. Has friends who do all kinds of clubs and drama. The whole school is organized around Global kids having field trips, SMCS kids having eight periods, etc. It’s large groups of kids , not just an individual, so they work with the structure. What could be a challenge for your child is if they are highly stressed by the idea of missing classes and then having to play catch up. For example , sometimes field trips have hit when a class not within the program such as English or foreign language had a test. There is always a make up available when the reason for missing the test is a GE field trip. But your kid may have a zero and a “bad grade” temporarily in the grade book and that freaks out some students (and their parents). |
