I haven't seen hardly any of the nominees for Best Picture or the other highly buzzed about movies.
Can anyone give feedback? Hollywood usually likes the dramatic, often super serious films that just kind of bum me out. So I am intrigued about some, but don't want to be sad after two hours and $6 on demand. (I'm thinking about Birdman, Theory of Everything, Selma, Interstellar, the Benedict Cumberpatch one). Who can share what they've seen and if it was worth seeing? |
| Anyone? |
| I really liked both Selma and Boyhood. Also American Sniper was pretty good. Not sure if I'd like the Grand Budapest Hotel -- have heard it is either boring or weird. |
| Grand Budapest Hotel was great. Cinematography is outstanding. |
| Still Alice is dank. |

I loved Theory Of Everything.
Hoping to see Whiplash tomorrow (my mom loved it...) Boyhood was great, too... |
It was eh. |
| Theory of Everything, Whiplash- mostly entertaining, not spectacular. Birdman- not AGI's best by a long shot, but not terrible. Imitation Game- breezy but made well. |
