What info do schools get about lottery applicants?

Anonymous
I'm wondering both about schools you apply to and also schools where you are currently enrolled. It seems like schools you apply to get at least names and addresses (e.g. applied for two rivers last year, was waitlisted, and got a promotional mailing this year).

Do they also get your ranking?

Does your existing school find out that you lotteried?

I haven't been able to get through on the myschooldc hotline to ask this, so any insight appreciated!

I don't think they get your ranking. I think they get a chart that lists how many kids listed them at each spot 1-12.

Your existing school does not find out you personally lotteried. They do get the numbers of current students in each grade that have lotteried again.

The FAQ says specifically that the school you apply to does not get any ranking, and that your current school does not know who has applied.

I received a promotional mailer today from Bridges and never applied there.
