What is it about Breaking Bad?

I miss Breaking Bad. I am looking for something that good to watch again. What is it that made that show so good?

Justified is hands down my favorite show. Unfortunately its in the home stretch of its 6th and final season. But there's always time to binge watch and catch up before tonight's episode...

OP, I'm with you about BB. I was a latecomer to it, but have now watched every episode except for the last few in Season 5. I think I'm putting it off because I don't want it to end for me! Such a smart, funny, dark, clever, unexpected show. Better Call Saul is looking good too, but I don't know if anything will ever quite match the originality of BB.

It was an incredibly rich show. It managed to have a compelling plot and compelling characters without sacrificing one for the other.

I get why the critics say it's better, but I'm curious to see how it plays out in the long-run. Having them bring Tuco back right in the beginning was fun, but I'm hoping the show won't be one long Breaking Bad gimmick.

Ok, so I'm a real latecomer to BB, but last night I finally finished the last episode. I am absolutely bereft and could hardly sleep last night, just thinking about it. I don't think a show has ever affected me like this! I really felt so attached to the characters and seeing this genius show end just killed me. Sigh. Had to share.
