Play decorator with me (pt 2 of 2): Bathroom decor based on prints like these

Anonymous

I have several vintage travel posters (8x10" ish) similar to the ones above and I'm looking for inspiration.

Beige/tan walls. Bronze fixtures. Coordinating sink, vanity, etc. I'm looking for additional prints (maybe) or general color scheme for towels, rugs, etc.

Any and all ideas appreciated!

I like these much much more than the soap dish.

Think vintage island decor. Rattan baskets. Bamboo print shower curtain. Houseplants (you can hang them in the window. Dish with beach shells.

When you say coordinating vanity, do you mean that it coordinates with the walls (i.e. is it beige?).

What's your flooring? You could do a slatted wooden 'mat' instead of a textile. Towels in cream or off-white.

Me too! I actually picked these out on purpose. The soap dish was a gift specifically for the "new house". It's pretty, but not my style. I'm hoping to make it work since it's a tiny powder room and the giver cares WAY more about it than I do!

For coordinating, yes, the vanity, fixtures, walls, etc were designed to go together. We recently moved so I'm working on fitting in old décor to the new house. I don't want to go crazy getting new things if we can find new uses for what we already have!

I like the vintage feel, OP. I wouldn't go overboard with decor. I'd pick things with at the art deco vibe, e.g.

I didn't see a soap dish, but depending on what your budget is, something like this might be fun:

(Keep in mind that ceramic soap dishes can get broken.)

For a bath mat and towels, I would pick a color featured in one of the posters--anything but beige, e.g.:
