Bugs at Chincoteague -- April and May

| Not sure about April/May but when I went in July it was the single worst bug experience of my life. Pack your poison- this is not the place for Avon Skin So Soft or some essential oils. |

| We stayed in June and basically we ran from our car into our rental, but once inside the screen porch or when you are at the beach it is not bad. So when you go for a bike ride etc load up on spray. Still love it though! FWIW I camped there in March and there were no bugs yet, too cold. |

We went the first weekend in May last year- no bugs but it was freezing! Like sweatshirts at the beach cold. Still fun though! And pretty empty
