OP here. Thanks for the tip! I ended up taking a cab to Rice Village. Several blocks of shops and restaurants. Walked through the Rice campus, too.
Fwiw, had dinner at the House of Blues downtown near my hotel. Food was fine, and the live music was awesome! |
