| No. Why would it matter at all one way or another to a private institution that doesn't receive any government aid? Even if it did, legal residents are treated the same as citizens. |

Yes-some ask for the child/parents citizenship. Could be a benefit if they are looking for diversity I would imagine. |

Since you're paying before the school year starts, I think they want to know so as to add diversity - therefore it's a plus. They're not worried you'll up and leave without paying. |
| Local private schools have plenty of non-citizen students - this is DC where there is a huge international presence via Embassies, World Bank, IMF and other international organizations. So don't think about how you fit into the non-citizen pool - just check the box and include your citizenship when asked. It may even help in a school that appreciates diversity in their student body. |
