You are a hater if you eat at Chick fil a!

We eat there. My picky eater loves the food and the playground is convenient. We donate every year to the human rights campaign so hopefully the karma balances out.

You're being sarcastic, right?

Did you read the article? Or do you just have poor reading comprehension skills?

im not going to live my life where i check the track record of every company i patron.

unless you are clearly doing something like discriminating against race, gender, and sexual orientation whether it be in hiring or doing business that is when a company wont see my money.

its gotten to a point where i wonder if people wont go somewhere because the ceo is republican and they are democrat. as much as i like politics, i refuse to have every aspect of my life through this partisan lense.

i like chick fil a and joke every time i go that im homophobic or that we will get caught by friends and be labeled as such.

i see your reasoning, but consider this quote From the article:

Alas, when your husband patronizes one of these restaurants, he is supporting the company. Would a donation to an LGBT rights group offset that, the way “carbon-offset programs” allow individuals and companies to pay a fee to make up for their carbon footprint? No. I’m imagining your husband explaining his position to your friends. No matter his diplomatic skills, they’ll understand him to be saying: “To eat Chick-fil-A’s chicken and waffle fries is more important to me than LGBT people having equal rights and protections.”

Luckily I just don't like chick fil a. Never understood the appeal. But I also don't like boycotting businesses because of the beliefs of the founder - the dominos drama of years ago is a good example. I am strongly pro choice but if the founder of the chain wanted to personally support pro life causes then that is his choice.

I don't boycott businesses based on the owner's belief.

But, LGBT rights are happening. Nothing can stop them now.

So, if CFA wants to waste money trying to prevent gay marriage from happening, it's fine with me. It's great with me, actually -- it means that money won't go to something that the Christian right actually could influence like restricting women's rights further. So, I guess I should go get some Chick Fil A.

You make a good point. On the other hand...those milkshakes! The peppermint chocolate chip one is TDF.
