Anyone have anything really good to say about their birth announcements from Costco, Shutterfly, Vistaprint, Tinyprints or any others?
I would like them to be nice enough to save as a keepsake, and not sure if I will be able to tell the difference from a cheap Costco picture ($0.69/card) or something more pricey (several dollars per card). I can't even remember the last time I printed pictures. Thanks in advance. |
I went with Tiny Prints - not sure why (complete sleep deprivation at the time) -but they did a great job and I am happy with what we went with. I would recommend finding a pattern you like - and go from there! Also- I had newborn pics done (between 6-8 days) and used those for the announcement. |
+1 on Tiny Prints. I like their selection and quality and they always have a discount code. |
| TinyPrints has really nice paper, I think. Much better for saving. |

Costco. Super quick turn around time.
Plus, I liked the designs better. Priced better too. I wasn't about to spend a ton of money (shuttetfly was like $1+ ea) on birth announcements which people will take once glance at, say "aww" for 3 seconds, and then just trash anyway. Costco makes for a good keepsake. My first child was born 7 yrs ago and birth announcement still holding up fine. |
| tinyprints have beautiful options. they're not the cheapest. |
| we also did tinyprints and were very pleased, also try minted.com |
| Tinyprints will also send your envelopes to you before you finalize the cards so you can address envelopes before the baby arrives. You it have to choose your template and place the order. Not sure if the other companies offer this. |
| Minted. Announcements were beautiful. |
i did this, just with Paper Source envelopes. Best decision ever. Everything was addressed and postage on. So in sleep deprived mode, I just ordered (in my case from Walgreens) and mailed. |
