Oakridge ES in Arlington

Did anyone here attend the last PTA meeting at Oakridge with special guest James Lander, School Board chair? I am curious to know if he talked about potential solutions to the capacity issues facing Oakridge as my daughter will be starting K there in a year. Any updates to share?

If they can find somewhere to move the Montessori program, then Drew could become an all-neighborhood school (there are 200 neighborhood kids there now) and some of the Oakridge kids could be redistricted to Drew.

Thanks. Interesting. I know that AMAC (Arlington Montessori Action Committee) was lobbying for Drew Montessori to move to the Wilson site and be co-located with HB Woodlawn program. That might be a good location.
