Looking to rent a home in Arlington; falls church; Vienna and beyond

I'm recently divorced so my budget is very limited but want a nice place for kids. Our budget is $2300. Is that possible? What are the best sites to search on? I'm so sad about the divorce but and worried I can't afford a home. Please give remfommendations or let me know if I'm just dreaming. We would prefer to stay in McLean; falls church; Vienna and even oakton.

Look on realtor.com and militarybyowner.com. Are you open to a townhouse? How old are your kids?

In Vienna, an older townhouse or a small rambler would be within the budget. (I just did a quick search on realtor.com)

There is a house in my North Arlington neighborhood that has been for rent for 5 months. I think they're asking for $2800 but if it's been on the market for that long, I'm sure they'd negotiate on price. I've never been inside, though.

A little above budget but check this one out for $2500. We live a few streets away and walk through here a lot. It's In falls church but on mclean line and kids go to Mclean schools. Good luck to you!

1200 - 1500 sq foot house in Pimmit Hills.

Or you could rent a townhouse in Oakton, maybe Vienna for that price range.

What age are the kids, if you don't mind - in general? Schools may play a role in your decision...

Zillow, Craigslist, and Padmapper are far better tools.

Someone on this site found some homes on www.hotpads.com the other day - seemed like an easy site to use. I think you plug in your budget and search area and it shows you houses and townhouses and apartments. You are probably priced out of North Arlington, but the other areas should be doable.
