Bath towel recommendations

I have heard Restoration Hardwares bath towels aren't what they once were. This was confirmed for me when I bought a couple of their hand towels and they started falling apart after one wash, so those are out.
What is the absolute best bath towel? Cost isnt the concern, I just want the best. I like heavyweight Turkish towels but would consider all recommendations |

We just replaced our master bath towels with Matouk Marcus for Neiman Marcus. They are really soft. We're happy so far.
I have Frette and Sferra towels and don't like them as well. The Frette towels I have are absorbent but are still. I prefer a softer towel. |

| I have had no problem with our Restoration Hardware towels (just got 2 new ones). I've not found another towel that compares and I'm a little bit of a towel fanatic. |
