2weeks waiting period

Anonymous
for those who got pregnant did you feel anything extra ordinary or different in 2 waiting weeks? First time for us and I am over analyzing I guess Thanks.

One time I did, another time I didn't. There really is no way to know so don't drive yourself crazy! Instead, plan some fun activities to keep your mind off it-- when you are pregnant you'll be busy and tired and it's harder to find the time for hobbies and friends.

It's different for everyone. Some people get spotting or cramping, some people feel nothing. I got a headache. I think that was it. But it could have just been that I had a headache!

I am in my tww after an FET. Really, I have felt nothing. And I have read that because of the supplementation (progesterone/estrogen etc) you just can't know.

OP here.

I know I know I was just curious, anything I read on internet seems like I have in normal after ovulation time anyways... they say fatigue, breast softness, nausea, mmm strange vivid dream etc. I have all that in normal days anyway so it made me real curious to ask ladies who actually did got pregnant if who knows if there are some strange hints in the waiting period. And I am not driving myself crazy just pure curiosity. I know if it happens it will, if not we continue trying.

I ate so much pineapple in these days can't even look at it now lol nurse said to try it

We've all been there and of course only time will tell, BUT seriously: who DOESN'T Google the hell outta "symptoms and Xdp5dt" a zillion times during the 2ww?

PIO was especially cruel to me 2 cycles ago: thirsty, vivid dreams, BFP dream, etc... BFFN

This past cycle I was beside myself with thoughts that nothing was going on since I didn't feel anything. BFP

GL OP and to everyone in the 2ww!

I can always tell about 1 week before my pd is due. Headaches, spotting, twinges in my breasts, exhaustion, and pelvic pain -- all of which are abnormal for me.

This was the first time I used PIO (for 1st donor egg cycle). I had so many pregnancy symptoms a couple of days after starting (before transfer). So by the time I had the transfer, I was ignoring all symptoms. But I have to say, the one thing that was different after transfer was massive cramping from 1dp5dt, past my BFP until my 6-7 week.

But one thing I've learned from my many, many cycles is STOP SYMPTOM SPOTTING!! You will drive yourself crazy. Make a mental note and move on.

Hang in there OP. This ws my first cycle too. I remember just couple of days ago my days were flying like crazy, all I remember waking up and like robot go to work, stop by the doctor for monitoring come home eat, do something for an hour or 2 and then it was time to go to bed and I was complaining how time is running so fast, but now grrrr it's all the same work - home - work but I see everything in slow motion it's like time almost isn't moving... I guess bcz i'm in TWW. Mine just started to it's going to be long 2 weeks

Does Eating Pineapple Help Implantation?

Eating pineapple, and specifically pineapple core, to aid implantation is a widespread theory on the internet and is also prescribed by natural and Chinese medicine practitioners. Unfortunately there is not yet any clinical evidence that pineapple helps implantation.

Pineapple core contains an enzyme called Bromelain that reduces inflammation in the body, including in the uterus. It is also a mild blood thinner which some believe can aid in implantation. Note that many doctors prescribe baby aspirin, a blood thinner, to help with implantation, but this dose is controlled.

It is thought that bromelain in large doses can cause uterine contractions and interfere with implantation of an embryo -- although clinical evidence in this area is lacking too. Some cultures even use pineapple to induce miscarriage or start labor.

There is really no concrete evidence for or against pineapple, but there are many positive anecdotes on the internet about it.

•First talk to your doctor and acupuncturist/herbalist about it

•If you are taking baby aspirin, a blood thinner, remember that pineapple is also a mild blood thinner and too much could lead to miscarriage. Ask your doctor before taking both.

•Don’t start eating pineapple until after ovulation as it can actually inhibit pregnancy if taken too early as the acidity of pineapple can effect cervical mucous

•Cut up a whole pineapple, cut the core into 5 pieces and eat once piece daily starting the day after ovulation/IUI/IVF transfer

•If you don’t have a fresh core, eat one cup of pineapple meat a day once a day starting the day after ovulation/IUI/IVF transfer.

•Canned pineapple has been heated which destroys the Bromelain so you have to eat fresh pineapple

•Stop eating pineapple after a positive pregnancy test

My best friend has a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and we talked about the pineapple thing and she did some research. If you eat it, only eat it like the first three days. Pineapple has bromelian which is a natural abortifacient. You would have to eat a whole lot of pineapple to abort the fetus, but there is no reason to take a chance like that when you are spending the money we are.

I think it is just a myth I would not believe that it helps nor hurts. In previous comment you see she/he stated Chinese medicine thinks it helps and your friend says different. So it's all theory nothing it proven.

9:53 here: Yeah, but I am going to listen to someone with a PhD from Harvard. Even if just to err on the side of caution.
