Final round interview - chances

| I have had one job since law school but recently applied for an in house position. I have been through three rounds of interviews; final round was last week. I just got an email saying they will have a decision on X day. Since I have never been through this before, is it typical to let people know when the decision will be made? I really want this job and am hoping this means something but perhaps I am reading too much into it and it just a courtesy regardless of the outcome. |
