
Okay, Washington Gas has been billing my poor mom's restaurant last month $20K due to wrong reading.
It took them more than a month to resolve this last time and now they got a bill for $80K this month!!! She losses sleep over it and gets really stressed out due to already slow business...urg! I feel like calling channel 9 NEWS to report this so they don't do that to other people. Any suggestions on what to do and fast? Anyone else in Germantown MD is having this issue??? |

call fox 5--they're much more dogged in their reporting of local stories like this and their viewership numbers are better.

Her account may be credited the following billing period.
Also, Fox 5 just did a story very similar except it was BG&E (I think). The family had an $800 bill for a 1200 sq. ft house and the thermostat at 67 degrees. The utility company claimed the increase was because the billing periods are now longer and that they themselves are paying more for the fuel...which they pass on to the customer. The family is still disputing the huge utility bill. |
