Slut-shaming? This has nothing to do with slut shaming. The original dolls are insane and so far from any reality . They are more representative of our typical alien image than a human being and there is something wrong with that. |

But the whole point of Barbies is to act out adult scenarios, like getting married, or going to work. It's a way for kids to try on adult roles that they're curious about Why would you want a "child like" Barbie doll. If I want a child like doll, I'll get a American Girl (or a knock off, because I'm cheap) so my kid can pretend to be the mom. |

Okay. But only with OPs phrasing. I think the point of the doll transformation was to just make them look more realistic and take away all the features that have been unnecessarily exaggerated to the point of looking non-human. The concept is good despite OPs use of the word sluttiness to which I think You are overly sensitive and quick to jump to the phrase slut-shaming. Those dolls are just atrocious. |

| Sis,dolls are made to look like humans,you see a street walker,the kids see fashion that they are not allowed to wear yet,thats why they play with the dolls! to pretend to be wjhat they are not,kids are well awer of the doll's crazy porposions,they are called FASHION DOLLS,if you dont want your kids to polay with FASHION DOLLS,then you shoud buy then a moxie doll,they are cuter and more inocent looking versions of bratz,they wear pink basic oufits and they have no make up,but whats the point of buyng a doll that looks just like you do? where is the creativity? you shoud play preteend with your own life then... bratz are not sluts! i grew up playng with bratz dolls,they teach kids to respect eachother, it doesnt matter color or style,you guys are the same parents who are anti-bullyng but you are critizising dolls for wearing make up? and short oufits? then if i wear short oufit next to a man and he tells me how hot im is becouse i want it? becouse i was "asking to be called out"? or even wrose? kids wont start kissing boys and twrking at school becouse they played with a doll wearing something tendy,they will be happy to play play with the dolls and wait untill they get older to decide what they wanna wear or not! kids arent dumb,you been a kid before didnt you? you know you didnt wanna have a tiny waist and big head just becouse barbie had it! and btw why arent you guys talking about barbie? a teenager who pretends to be an adult and keep pushing careers down our throat |
